Is there a way for me to retweet messages from my site?

There is no such feature yet and we don't plan to.
Normally, people use this plugin to show their own tweets, so there is no point to retweet their own status.
That's why the retweet link will open on a new tab/window so someone else can retweet your status with their own account.
