On your forums I see you say "Combinations of the above engines will allow you to have even more mangas."
Does that mean the scrapes are a 1 to 1 increase? or is there overlap.

There will be no overlapping/duplication.
One manga only can use one scrapper.

What is meant by that statement is referring to unique union of manga series from several source sites.
For example, combintation of Engine 1 (has arund 1800+ series) and Engine 2(has arund 2500+ series) will result in 3000+ series.
That's because 500+ series of Engine 1 are not available in Engine 2. So, there is no overlapping/duplication here.
