It’s a personal experience of me to have a long post or page content and suddenly I thought about WordPress ability to split or paginating that long post or page into several pages easily. And I found out that WordPress provide that functionality.

There is a hidden tag <–nextpage–> which will allow to to split the content into several pages as you wish. That tag, <–nextpage–>, can be said as page break tag.

However, if you find out on the page or post display that the content/article is still displayed in one page or the rest of the content/article has been cut off and hidden without navigation links displayed to let visitors to go to another page, it is mostly caused by your template does not implement this template tag, wp_link_pages().

wp_link_pages() is a template tag to show page links for paginated posts and pages. To learn more about wp_link_pages(), click here.
