We have just switched to another Internet Service Provider (ISP).
The only problem we encounter is that we can no longer send email from our GMail/Google Mail accounts via Microsoft Outlook and Thunderbird.
That's because the Internet Service Provider (ISP) has blocked access to smtp.gmail.com and port 25 and 465 (SSL).
What do we do? Well, we create a new domain which is pointer to GMail server which is smtp.gmail.xhanch.com. Then, we change the type of encryption connection to TLS and use the port 587.
That's it. So, the new outgoing configuration will be:
- Outgoing server: smtp.gmail.xhanch.com
- Port #: 587
- Type of encryption connection: TLS
