Just to answer my own post ..... this is apparantly caused by the Twitter API limit which, unfortunately, has rendered this plug-in unusable for me.


This could be. As you may aware, there are API limitations:

  • Unauthenticated calls are permitted 150 requests per hour. Unauthenticated calls are measured against the public facing IP of the server or device making the request

  • OAuth calls are permitted 350 requests per hour and are measured against the oauth_token used in the request


Is your Twitter app used by many applications/clients?

I have recent tweets and my profile set-up is correct as far as I can see but it will not call up these tweets no matter how many times I refresh and/or clear the cache.

I really need a plug-in that will reliably bring in tweets to an account without me having to check on it every few minutes.
