The music at Hernando United Methodist Church has a long tradition of excellence.  In the current era when many churches have gone the way of contemporary praise and worship music, HUMC has remained firmly commited to the reverence of traditional music.  Our piano and organ accompanied congregational singing is rooted in time-honored hymn part singing, and our Chancel Choir weekly sings an anthem of a variety of traditional styles.  The Chancel Choir, a very open group that averages 20-30 singers throughout the year, meets weekly for a fellowship meal and rehearsal at 6:15 on Wednesdays.
